Parenting doesn’t get any Offs during the weekends!!!

I had seen/heard parents passing remarks to singles or to the couples without kids to “Enjoy your weekends and relax till you get married or have the kids”. I think you would also have heard it isn’t it?

But no, that’s not true. It’s all in us and our mindset as to whether you can enjoy and relax over the weekends. Wondering how? Here are a few tips from my experience.

👉 Outsource your weekend shopping/grocery shopping to online agents who deliver them right to your doorstep.
👉 Enroll the help of kids and your partner in the weekend tasks like cooking/cleaning.
👉 Spend some precious moments together as a family and start making memories together.
👉 Don’t act like a play-date, or party organizer for your family, go out and have fun together on those play dates or parties. Kids and family members never remember the perfect parties or play dates. They would only remember the fun they had during those occasions.
👉 Take part in your child’s favorite activities and also introduce him to your favorite hobbies or food.
👉 Watch a movie or have an afternoon nap based on your situation.

Kids would love to remember your favorite stuff more when they are grown up. So indulge them in your hobbies and favorite activities as well.

Lastly, whatever you are doing, do along with the family and not for them. In this process, you can also relax and you would get some time to pamper yourself and get energized for the next work week.

The advantages of doing things together as the family are as follows:
❤️ It improves the connections across all the family members
❤️ Kids would start looking at you with more respect and love.
❤️ Kid’s trust in you would also improve
❤️ Kid’s self-esteem would also improve, as they observe you and learn how to keep themselves happy and relaxed.

If you like this post, do let me know how you are planning to spend your weekend? In my case, we would be watching the latest Disney release (“Turning Red”) with my child, apart from attending my child’s cricket practice sessions.
